We use in some dialogs : slider with an associed text control for displaying for exemple transparency. User sould be able to set the value using the slider on imputing value directly inside the text control (with value checking).

We have implemented this into the class tmSliderWithText (see picture bellow). This class, based on wxPanel contain the following controls :

A wxSlider
A wxTextCtrl
A wxStaticText, used for displaying units for exemple.
